- The Spray Play Fountain is open April – October 1 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., except for Wednesdays, when it opens at 12 p.m. Also closed during the Lowcountry Cajun Festival.
- JAMES ISLAND COUNTY PARK - Water Park. ($) Splash Pad Serious Water fun with lazy river, Chutes, Toddler Water Park, Swimming Pool, Wave pool.

- MAGNOLIA GARDENS - bikes are allowed. Trams give tours. Petting zoo. Festival like setting in the summer and spring hours. Allot of nature. Romantic Gardens.

- KIAWAH BEACHWALKER PARK - Dolphin strandfish at the inlet and this is just a beautiful swim friendly beach. not much current. flat beach.

- FOLLY BEACH PARK - West end. Lifeguards/ body surfing/ swimming/ shelling/ kite surfing/ wildlife
- MORRIS ISLAND LIGHTHOUSE - east end of folly. CURRENTS are strong. Swimming not advised but dolphin and wildlife are plentiful
- BRITTLEBANK PARK PLAYGROUND - downtown on Lockwood
- RIVERS DOG GAME - Very family and pet friendly. Take your pet on Monday nights. Playground is supervised. Relaxed and great way to introduce young children to sport. Face Painting behind home plate.
- BLUE SKY ROPES - not for the very young, but depends on personality and spunk. Pretty high up. Still they have guides and a course for the those with the heart for it.
- PATRIOTS POINT - Strollers are hard at the YorkTown, b/c of many flights of stairs, but it is awesome. The airplanes, ships and submarines make this a very memorable place to visit for all ages!
